Brief History of UPC

What is Uganda People’s Congress, as the Party? It came from the merger of two political parties, UNC+UPU=UPC on 9th March.

The Five Pillars of UPC

  • Peasants-who constitute the majority of the rural people of Uganda.
  • Workers-who represent an important and growing section of the urbanized population.
  • The youth-who are destined to inherit the Party and the nation of Uganda
  • The women-who are the mother of our society.
  • The ideas– that act as a gum for the above four pillars.
Note that the ideas must be based on the analysis of the objective reality not mere fatalistic conjecture

    The Flag

The Flag Of The Party Is Tricolour Running horizontally;

  • With Black On Top (For African Personality),
